Description
Glan-afon is a two-storey, two-window house built of random stone and topped with a slate roof featuring stone end stacks and boarded eaves. The entrance is located on the east gable end, while the garden front faces north. This garden front showcases full-height canted bay windows with hipped rooflets, which contain hornless 12-pane sash windows. Above these, there are hornless 16-pane sash windows that align with the eaves. The gabled entrance front features a panelled door with a plain overlight, positioned to the left, and is topped by a long timber lintel; above this is a 16-pane hornless sash window. On the west gable end, there is a hornless sash window offset to the right, which may serve as a stairlight.
Attached to the main structure is a rear wing that is one-and-a-half storeys tall and timber-framed with large panels, while the south gable end is constructed of rubble stone. This wing also has a slate roof and a stone end stack. The east side, next to the front entrance, has two windows with tall 6-pane wooden frames, likely dating from the late 20th century, with similar upper storey windows aligned above. There is a part-glazed lean-to on the west side, but details of this feature were not observed.
Access to the interior was not available at the time of inspection.
