Description
Arfryn is a terrace of 2-storey cottages built from large blocks of coursed undressed stone and topped with slate roofs. Each cottage features brick end stacks and is mostly roughcast, except for the right end. Both Brynhyffryd and Arfryn are symmetrical with three windows and central doorways, while Hendre has two windows with a doorway to the right. The cottages primarily have 16-pane hornless sash windows with slate sills, slate lintels over the lower storey openings, and timber lintels beneath the eaves. Additional cottages are attached to the left and right ends, and the rear is not visible.
Arfryn has a central panelled door with a plain overlight. However, the original windows have been replaced with uPVC sashes in the original openings. Access to the interior was not available during the inspection.
