Description
Coed-y-cra Farmhouse is a two-storey building, square in plan, constructed of rubble stone with larger quoins. It features a hipped slate roof and has two central brick stacks with stone rustication. The front facade has three bays with rock-faced lintels and hornless 12-pane sash windows, except for the lower right bay where a French door has replaced the original window. A central roughcast porch includes a moulded parapet and a fielded panel door in its left side wall.
The right side wall has three windows, including round-headed sash windows, while the central bay features plain sashes with round-headed overlights. The left side wall contains small-pane windows, with one located upper centre for stair lighting and another in the lower right. In the lower storey, two shallow-arched former stone door heads are built into the wall, likely reclaimed from an earlier house. The rear of the farmhouse has two windows on the upper storey with small-pane sashes, a blocked window in the lower right, and a replaced small-pane window in the lower left. A central doorway with a stone lintel was added in the mid-20th century.
Attached to the rear angle of the farmhouse is an added wing, which likely originally served as a pair of labourers' cottages. This wing is also made of rubble stone, featuring pecked stone lintels and jambs, and has a slate roof with a central brick ridge stack. It has a two-window front with 16-pane sash windows and boarded doors on the outer sides. A monopitched projection set back against the left gable end has a lintel above a boarded door and a brick side wall. Additionally, there is a lean-to structure behind the wing, which includes a boarded door in its end wall. The property has not been inspected.
