Description

This building comprises a late 19th-century facade applied to earlier underlying fabric. It consists of two sections, a three-storey portion at number 12 and a two-storey section with a basement at number 13, presenting a four-window width of roughcast and rendered front. The roof is slate, with boxed eaves, and a brick chimney is located on the rear slope. Windows are a mix of six- and eight-pane sashes at number 12, and multi-pane metal-framed casements at number 13. Number 12 features an advanced shop front supported by curved brackets, while number 13 has a flush shop front with a boarded stallriser. Both shop fronts include glazed and panelled doors. A further two windows are visible on the south-facing elevation, which overlooks the area known as "Narrows”.
