Description
Number 21 is a late 18th or early 19th century shop and dwelling located on the east side of High Street, Leominster. The building is constructed of brick with a shallow-pitched slate roof and a brick end stack. It is three storeys high and has a two-window front. The upper windows are 6/6 sashes, set beneath gauged brick arches that incorporate stucco keyblocks. The ground floor windows are 3/6 sashes, similarly arched. A moulded wooden eaves line runs along the top of the building. A later 19th-century shop front features a central entrance with a half-glazed panelled door and overlight, recessed beneath a panelled soffit supported by ornate cast-iron brackets. The shop front also has canted plate-glass windows with ringed and fluted glazing-shafts, a part-glazed panelled door and overlight, a moulded fascia board, and a hood with guttae and triglyphs, resting on paired stop-consoles atop simple pilasters. The interior has not been inspected.
