Description
1 Ty Newydd is a two-storey, two-window cottage built from large blocks of random stone, which is painted on the front. It has an old slate roof with stone stacks at each end. The central entrance features a late 20th-century half-glazed wooden door, flanked by small two-light wooden casement windows. There is a blocked doorway on the far right. All ground floor openings have large stone lintels. The upper storey has two similar casement windows that rise to the eaves and align with those below. There is a lean-to made of rubble stone against the east gable end, which has a planked door at the front. The west end is attached to a later stone cottage that has been altered. The rear of the building was not visible during the inspection, and there was no access to the interior at that time.
