Description
Y Bwthyn is a two-storey, two-window cottage built from white-washed random stone and topped with a slate roof featuring stone end stacks. The entrance is located to the right of the center and includes a gabled open porch supported by narrow timber posts, beneath which is a 20th-century half-glazed wooden door. To the right of the entrance is a two-light wooden casement window with horizontal glazing bars. To the left, there is a bow window that was part of a former shop, also made of white-washed rubble stone and featuring a hipped rooflet. This bow window contains a nine-pane wooden window with an opening light. The far left side of the cottage had the former shop entrance, which has now been infilled with a two-light small-pane wooden casement. The upper storey features two two-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars positioned just below the eaves. At the rear, there is a continuous lean-to with skylights, although the openings were not visible during the inspection. There are adjoining buildings on both the left and right gable ends. Access to the interior was not available at the time of inspection.
