Description

Plas Uchaf Bach is a two-storey cottage built from random stone, featuring large quoins and topped with a slate roof that has raised copings and brick stacks at each end. The cottage has a symmetrical front facing north, with a central doorway. The door, which is from the 20th century, is planked and set beneath a cambered arch made of stone voussoirs. On either side of the door are small horned 4-pane sash windows, although the lower glazing bars are missing. These windows are also set under segmental arches of stone voussoirs. Above, on the first floor, are identical windows positioned directly beneath the eaves. The gable ends of the cottage are rendered. There is a rear wing and a 20th-century lean-to on the eastern side. Access to the interior was not available at the time of inspection.
