Description
The cart-shed at Plas Uchaf is a four-bay structure with a loft above, built from rubble stone and featuring brick at the front. It has an original graded slate roof and a crow-stepped gable on the south side. The wide cart bays have depressed arches supported by brick piers. There is an open corrugated lean-to over the left arch, which is partly blocked.
On the upper storey, there are four openings arranged symmetrically above the arches. The two openings on the right are 2-light with shutters, while the opening to their left is blocked with brick and has an infilled rectangular recess beneath it. The far left opening is also 2-light and includes glazing bars. The north gable end shows the shadow of an infilled opening with a segmental head.
An external stone staircase on the south gable end leads up to a planked door set under a segmental brick head. The rear of the building features a pair of 2-light loft openings with shutters. There is a butt joint to the right of the centre. Access to the interior was not available at the time of inspection.
