Description
This is a cartshed with a hay-loft, built around the mid-19th century. It is constructed from buff-coloured and blue bricks and features a clay plain tile roof with gabled ends and a corbelled brick eaves cornice. The building has a rectangular shape and includes a four-bay arcaded west front with a loft above, accessed by external stairs leading to a doorway in the south gable end. At the north end, there is a lower cartshed that does not have a loft. The rear wall of the structure is built over an earlier garden wall located immediately north of the farmhouse.
The exterior showcases a two-storey, four-bay west front, where the ground floor has an open arcaded front with segmental arches and brick piers that have bull-nose brick arrises. There are also four round pitching-eyes for the loft above, which have similar arrises. The south gable end features brick stairs with a solid brick balustrade leading to the loft doorway, which is adorned with a diamond pattern of ventilation holes in the brickwork. A segmental arch doorway is present in the rear wall, originally serving as the garden wall doorway. The lower single-storey cartshed is located at the north end. The interior has not been inspected.
