Description

The Old Grammar School is a late 18th-century red brick building located in St Leonard’s Close, Bridgnorth. It is part of a group that includes the Church of St Leonard, No. 2 Palmer’s Hospital, and Nos. 4 to 7 (consecutive). The school is two storeys high with three-light sash windows that lack glazing bars, set within round-headed recesses. The central window on the first floor has a flat head in a similar recess. The upper floor features two flat-headed windows and a central Venetian window beneath the gable. There are two windows at each end with arcaded treatment, along with end gables, stone eaves, and an old tile roof.
