Description
St Leonard's Hospital is a 15th-century building that was restored in 1851. It features a timber-framed structure with a pantiled roof, which transitions to stone slates at the eaves. The building has two storeys and is organized into three main bays, further divided into three sub-bays, with an additional sub-bay at the south end. The ground floor sub-bays are separated by octagonal posts set on moulded stone plinths, topped with coved and embattled capitals, each supporting a four-cell semi-fan that leads to a pent-roof. The building includes six two-light wood mullioned casements with pointed heads, featuring straight voussoirs, and on the first floor, there are three three-light windows of the same style. All window lights are adorned with diagonal lead glazing bars.
