Description

The Almshouses, built in 1792, are a Grade II listed building located on the north side of Church Street in Bridgnorth. This structure is made of red brick and stands two storeys high. The central block features a dentilled brick pediment and an inset inscribed quatrefoil panel. It has three Gothic casement windows and a doorcase topped with a similar head and a moulded sandstone canopy supported by consoles. The side wings each contain two windows of the same style. The right-hand part of the building has been rebuilt following damage from the war.
