Description

No. 78 High Street is a building from the 16th to 17th century, featuring a painted imitation timber frame on a stuccoed brick plinth. The earlier timber frame is exposed in the overhang on the returned side, which includes two early 19th-century sash windows. The building is two storeys high and has two casement windows, along with two 19th-century gabled dormers. There is a recessed early 19th-century panelled door and plain eaves, with a tiled roof. No. 78 High Street, along with Nos. 1 to 3 (consecutive), forms a group.
