It features six three-light mullioned windows with plain lintels, and three two-storied gabled porches. The building has six plain brick gables, original clustered brick stacks, and old tiles. The site was previously occupied by an earlier collegiate establishment. The interior retains some original panelling. It is situated within a significant group of buildings, including the Church of St Leonard, the Old Grammar School, No. 2 Palmer’s Hospital, and Nos. 4 to 7 (consecutive).
