Description
Higher Lanes Farm consists of two ranges of farm buildings constructed of brick with tile roofs, arranged end-to-end. The left side features a higher lofted section that has a full-height joint at the center, suggesting it was later extended or rebuilt. On either side of this joint, there are two pairs of doors; the right-hand side has a loading door above a segmental-headed split boarded door, while the left side has a boarded opening. The lower shippon is wider and extends beyond the higher section on both sides. It faces the yard and has two split boarded doors flanking a central window that was once a doorway.
On the rear elevation of the shippon, there is a central door with windows on either side. The higher section retains a segmental-headed split boarded door on the left and has a corrugated-iron lean-to on the right. The buildings have not been inspected.
