Description
Higher Lanes Farmhouse is a 1½-storey T-shaped farmhouse constructed of brick, featuring a dentil band above the main openings and a tile roof with overhanging eaves. It has two brick stacks with dentil heads. The windows are primarily small-pane iron-frame windows. The front of the farmhouse faces the road and consists of a main range with a cross wing to the left. The main range includes a boarded door on the left side, two windows, and a two-light casement window in a gabled dormer adjacent to the advanced cross wing. The projecting gable end of the wing has a single window on each floor. On the right gable end of the main range, there is a window on the lower right, two narrow attic windows, and a stone tablet inscribed 'PWG 1869'. At the rear, there is a lean-to with two boarded doors flanking a replacement window, along with a later lower lean-to on its left side, which has a corrugated iron roof. The projecting gable end of the wing to the right features a single window offset to the right in the lower storey and two smaller attic windows. The building has not been inspected.
