Description
Barnhall Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof that is hipped on the right side. It features two brick stacks on the ridge of the south wing and a rear north external brick stack with tiled offsets. The building is two storeys tall with an attic and has a dentilled eaves cornice. The front elevation is L-shaped, with a three-bay front and a two-bay right rear wing. The outer windows on the front elevation are 16-pane sashes, while the central first-floor window is a glazing bar sash. All windows have gauged flat heads. The central entrance is distinguished by an open pediment, an entablature, and a pilaster surround, leading to a six-panelled door, four panels of which are raised and fielded. The interior has not been inspected. To the left side elevation, there is a single-storey and attic wing, which features a front elevation with a 2-light casement that has a cambered head, a ledged and battened door with a gabled canopy, and a brick stack at the left gable end, along with an attic light.
