Description

Two ranges of farm buildings are located about 30 meters east of Lower Farm Farmhouse. These structures likely date from the early 18th century and include a shippon with a loft above and an adjoining threshing barn. The buildings are constructed of cob on stone rubble footings and have a corrugated asbestos roof, which is gabled at both ends and was formerly thatched.

The threshing barn projects at a right angle from the front of the shippon, creating a T-shaped layout. Together, the barn and the west end of the shippon form the farmyard to the south of Lower Farmhouse. The shippon is a single-storey structure, while the barn is two-storey. The shippon features five doorways and three ventilation slits, along with three loading doors for the loft. The threshing barn has a large threshing doorway on the front, positioned to the right of a stone buttress, and there is some patching in concrete block on the building.
