Description

The dovecot at Plas Onn is a 2-storey rectangular structure dating from the 18th century, originally serving the nearby Plas Onn. It is constructed from rubble and features a hipped slate roof. The north face has a wide segmental-arched opening, while the east face includes a later oculus from the early 19th century, made with brick voussoirs. Inside, the dovecot contains a complete set of plastered nesting niches, arranged in 15 tiers with 10 niches per tier, each having a cill beneath. The floor is part stone and part later brick.
