Description

18th century, circular-plan dovecot.

Coursed rubble basalt with polished and droved sandstone ashlar dressings. Long and short surrounds to openings. Eaves course. Doorway to W, with relieving arch and smaller inner door. 5 open and blocked windows to upper section. Conical slate roof surmounted by slate-hung lead-roofed timber drum with round-arched flight holes.

INTERIOR: 664 stone nesting boxes. Remains of timber potence. Open timber roof with central drum lantern containing flight-holes.
