Description
This is a dovecot, likely dating from the 18th century, located at Prestonhall House in Prestonhall. It is built from rubble with ashlar margins. The low south elevation features a door with a continuous rat course above it, which originally curved outwards below paired flight holes on the sides. The structure has stepped skews and tiered nesting boxes on the north, east, and west walls. The dovecot is currently roofless.
