Description

This is a cylindrical dovecot from the mid to late 18th century, constructed of harled rubble. It features a doorway on the east side and is encircled by two local slate rat courses. Above the upper course, there are random square flight holes. The dovecot is topped with a conical roof made of local slate, which has an apex weathervane. Inside, there are a small number of wooden nesting boxes supported on a ledge around the upper portion of the cote.
