Description

Style of William Robertson, 1830-40. Single storey villa,

3-bay W facing symmetrical front. Harled, tooled ashlar

margins and dressings. Centre porch with gabled roof with

deep soffits forming open pediment; shallow segmental-headed

doorway; side windows light interior of porch. Single

flanking windows with stepped margins; similar fenestration

detailing to 2-bay return elevations. Slightly lower single

storey, 3-bay wing projects from centre rear with entrance

in end bay of S elevation and centre window in E gable.

2 rear gabled dormers in main range; mainly lying-pane

glazing.

2 batteries each of 3 coped diamond stacks rise from centre

of piended platform slate roof.

INTERIOR: little of interest; panelled window shutters and

doors.
