Description
The Bridge of Poolinch in Dufftown is a single span hump-back bridge built in the later 18th century. It features a harled pointed rubble construction with a tooled granite segmental arch ring that springs from similar rubble abutments. The bridge has a low coped granite parapet that meets at the center in a pointed shape, with splayed approaches on either side. There are some concrete repairs on the eastern bank, and cast-iron stays support the parapet. The approximate span of the bridge is 60 feet.
