Ballochmyle, 3 Norwood Crescent, Dundee

Ballochmyle is a 2-storey villa located at 3 Norwood Crescent in Dundee, designed by James Murray Robertson for himself in 1880. The building is constructed from coursed rubble and features Robertson's distinctive Jacobean style.

The south elevation has two bays, with a prominent 4-light canted bay on the right that has curved sides extending through both floors. This bay is slate hung on the first floor and leads into a turret topped with a facetted ogee roof and a crescent finial. To the left, there are triple lights, and above, a gabled Venetian dormer is adorned with a wrought-iron finial.

On the west elevation, there is a timber porch with a slate roof situated in the re-entrant angle, accompanied by twin trefoil-headed windows to the left. The first-floor windows are stepped, while the east elevation features plain single lights. The villa has projecting eaves with an encircling coved cornice and a piended and platformed slate roof, complemented by decorative red brick chimney stacks. The property is enclosed by a low boundary wall.
