Tillyloss, 23 Farington Street, Dundee

Tillyloss is a two-storey villa located at 23 Farington Street in Dundee, designed by C G Soutar (MacLaren Sons and Soutar) in 1909. The building features a harled exterior set on a rock-faced rubble base, with an ashlar entrance and canted bays.

On the south elevation, the end bays are canted ashlar that rise through both floors and include a parapet. There is an off-centre tripartite garden door with transomed side lights, along with an ashlar panel and an altered bipartite window above.

The west elevation features an ashlar entrance bay with a heavily consoled and corniced door, which has a single light above it. The windows to the right of this entrance are blocked.

The villa has mutule eaves and a piended slate roof, along with a modern dormer and twin stacks. All the glazing has been replaced with modern materials. The property is enclosed by a low garden wall and mild steel railings.
