Description
The Coach House and Stable-Block at Plas Ffynnon is an L-shaped structure built around 1877, designed by the Chester architect John Douglas. It features a brick exterior set on a rubble base, topped with a medium-pitched tile roof. The coach house section is one-and-a-half stories tall, with a gabled roof, slightly overhanging eaves, and exposed purlin-ends. It includes vertical ventilation slits and a near-flush tripartite window in the gable that has a cambered head. There is a plain central chimney and additional ventilation slits on the west side facing the road.
To the east, there is a modern garage entrance, while the north side has a three-light mullioned window with a cambered-headed window above, which features an external boarded shutter. The stable block, which is single storey, is stepped down to the east and has a plain stack on the left. It includes three entrances with cambered heads and boarded doors, a two-pane modern window to the left, two ventilation slits, and two iron shuttered windows at the rear.
