Description

This is a tall building of four storeys designed in the Free Renaissance style, featuring a rendered facade. It has a shaped gable and decorative strapwork panelling along with pilasters topped with finials. The third or attic storey has two sash windows positioned in the centre, while the second floor also features two paired sash windows. The first floor is highlighted by a large rectangular bay window with three lights in its front wall and a single light on each side. The ground floor has a modern restaurant front, which is complemented by a two-bay verandah dating from the late 19th century to early 20th century. This verandah is supported by narrow fluted columns with capitals and high panelled bases, and the spandrils have bands that extend from one pair of brackets to the next.
