Description
Blaen Pennant is a farmhouse constructed from local rubble, featuring larger unshaped quoins and a slate roof with gable end stacks. The west gable has a coped design on kneelers, although the kneelers are only present at the east end. An attached farm building runs parallel and has a corrugated iron roof. The farmhouse is two storeys high and consists of two bays. The entrance is approximately central on the north side, featuring a boarded main door with 18th-century strap hinges set in a heavy frame, and is sheltered by a modern gabled canopy. On both floors, there are two-light, six-pane wood casement windows on either side of the entrance, each with large stone lintels, along with a small fire window in the west gable end. The single-storey farm building attached to the farmhouse consists of a two-bay chamber, possibly a stable, with its entrance located against the house on the south side. This building also has a door leading to an added second room, which includes a wide entrance that may have been used for a small cart or gig, and one window in the gable end and another on the north side. The property was not accessible at the time of inspection.
