Description

Wern-gau is a two-storey building constructed of rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. It features three bays that are aligned along the crest of a small hill, with a symmetrical front facing west. The central entrance consists of a part-glazed door set beneath a deep stone lintel. On either side of the door, there are bays that contain 2-light 6-paned timber casements, with stone lintels above the ground floor window openings. The gable end has deep eaves and is clad in corrugated iron. Both gable ends have stacks with dripstones and necking courses. At the rear, there is a centrally placed lean-to and two additional 2-light windows. The building was not accessible at the time of inspection.
