Description

Ty-isaf is a house with an attached village store, aligned along the road. It is constructed of coursed rubble and topped with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with a single-storey extension for the shop on the left. The house features a boarded door on strap hinges, set within a slate slab open fronted porch that has a gabled slate roof and shaped bargeboards. Each floor has two-light 4-pane casement windows, and there is an additional window above the porch. The ground floor openings have slate lintels, while the first floor has timber lintels. The gable stacks include drip courses and a neck drip course.

The shopfront to the left contains a bowed and paned shop window, with a door to its left that has a plain overlight inscribed with "Wm THOMAS." This shopfront is framed by three panelled pilasters with outset heads that support a weatherboard. Further left, there is a cartshed featuring two pitching doors set within a small raised gabled dormer. A lean-to has been added to the rear of the house, which is partly glazed.
