Description
Bapton Stores is a house and village shop dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The building is constructed of painted rubble stone and features a half-hipped thatched roof with brick stacks. It is two storeys high and has two windows. To the right, there is a four-panelled door set in a 20th-century porch, while to the left are two 3-light casements. The first floor includes a 3-light casement and a 2-light casement. The left side of the building has additional 2-light casements. Attached to the right side is a single-storey outbuilding that now serves as a shop, which includes a Victorian wall posting box. At the rear, there is a 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement on the left and 2-light casements on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
