Description

No 2 is a detached cottage located on High Street, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed from dressed limestone and features a single-Roman tiled roof that was originally thatched, with a coped verge and a brick stack on the left side, as well as an external brick stack on the right. The cottage is two stories high and has two windows. There is a planked door set in a gabled porch to the left of center, with a 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement on either side. On the first floor, there are two additional mullioned casements. A 19th-century brick lean-to extension is attached to the right return, while the left return has two small chamfered lights.
