Description
No. 9 High Street is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure with cob and rubble stone, topped by a half-hipped thatched roof and an axial brick stack. The gable end faces the road, with the entrance located on the west side. The cottage is single-storey with an attic and has one window. The entrance consists of a planked door set in a gabled porch, with a single-light casement window and a two-light casement window to the left, and another two-light casement window to the right. There is a raking attic dormer with a two-light casement window above the door. On the left side, the gable end facing the road has a two-light casement window on the ground floor and a three-light casement window in the attic. The rear of the cottage features a three-light casement and a single-light casement window on the left side of the rubble stone section. The south gable end includes a gabled porch and a lean-to extension, with a two-light casement window in the attic.
