Description

No 13 is a detached cottage dating from the 18th century, located on the north side of Stockton High Street. The exterior features a distinctive pattern of flint and limestone chequers, topped with a thatched roof that has a half-hip on the left side and a brick stack on the right. The gable end faces the road.

The cottage is two stories high and has a two-window front on the east side. To the left, there is a planked door, and to the right, two 2-light casement windows. On the first floor, there are two additional 2-light casements. The left side of the building, which faces the road, is constructed from chalk block and includes a small shuttered attic opening. At the rear, there are two 2-light casements on the ground floor and one single-light casement on the first floor.
