Description
The bothy and pigsties at Ty-hen are a rectangular single-storey building, oriented roughly east-west, with lower lean-to pigsties extending at right angles to the north at the east end. The structure is built from irregularly coursed rubblestone, featuring large quoins on the bothy and stone-on-edge coping on the main wall of the pigsties, all topped with slate roofs. The south wall of the bothy includes a sash window with a slate cill and lintel, along with a boarded door to the right. There is a doorway at the center of the west gable end, which has a narrow slate-louvered opening at its apex. A red brick stack is located on the north roof slope. The interior was not accessible during the survey.
