Description
The hay barn, located to the east of Ty-hen, is a 4-bay rectangular structure that is oriented roughly east-west. Originally, it was open on both long sides, but the south side has now been closed in with timber boarding. The barn is constructed from irregularly coursed rubblestone, featuring red brick dressings on the gable ends. The three other piers along each long side are square in section and made entirely of brick. The original slate roof has been replaced with a shallow-pitched tin sheeting roof. The east gable end includes a wide opening with a timber lintel and a segmental brick relieving arch at the ground floor, along with a square pitching opening directly above. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
