Description

The hay barn at Penpont is a large structure consisting of 10 bays. It is built from rubble stone and features a corrugated iron roof. There are two sets of opposing doorways located in the 3rd and 8th bays, and the walls include tall rectangular openings situated between square piers. The west side of the barn has buttresses, while the left end gable is covered with weatherboarding. The roof is supported by collar-and-tie-beam trusses, spanning the ten bays.
