Description

The workshop block at Penpont is a two-storey agricultural building constructed from colourwashed rubble, featuring a close-eaved roof with slates on the front and corrugated sheeting on the rear. The long north-facing front has two square loft windows at the eaves, both consisting of pairs of casement windows. The ground floor includes several cambered-headed openings: starting from the left, there is a door with a tall overlight, followed by a lower door and an even lower window, then a broader door, another door, a window, and one last door at the extreme right. The right gable end features a loft door, while the left end has a brick cambered head above a ground floor three-light window and a shortened cambered-headed loft opening above it. Additionally, there is a lean-to at the southeast corner with a thick slate roof and a small window facing east.
