Description
The bothy at the Embassy Hotel in Newbridge is an early 19th-century, two-storey structure with a hexagonal shape and a facetted slate roof. It is built on a slope, with the entrance located at the basement level. The building is constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings and is painted. There are doors on two opposite sides, with the western entrance featuring a forestair. The elevations have sash windows, some of which are blind, displaying a 12-pane glazing pattern. A block cornice gutter runs along the top, and there is a wall head stack at the northern angle. Inside, the bothy includes a fireplace on both levels and a timber stair.
