Lodge, Embassy Hotel, Newbridge

The Lodge at the Embassy Hotel in Newbridge was designed by architect Walter Newall around 1815. It is a single-storey building with a roughly cruciform plan and features additions. The lodge has a two-window bow facing the driveway and is constructed of painted droved ashlar, complete with a continuous cornice and a blocking course, as well as a massive central stack.

On the south elevation, there is a single bay to the right of the bow, while the left side has two bays that are likely from the 20th century and feature higher cills. The western flank was widened in 1983 to create three bays by filling the north-west re-entrant angle. The roof is covered with graded slates.

The gateway consists of corniced square outer piers and circular inner piers, the latter adorned with cornucopia designs. It also includes curved quadrants, cast-iron gates, and railings.
