Description

Walter Newall, architect. Circa 1815. Single storey roughly cruciform-plan lodge with additions and with 2-window bow to

driveway. Painted droved ashlar with continuous cornice and

blocking course and massive central stack. S (drive-way)

elevation: single bay to right of bow; left 2 bays probably

20th century and have higher cills. Single bay flanks, W

flank widened 1983 to 3 bays by addition filling NW re-entrant

angle. Roofed with graded slates. Gateway has corniced square

outer and circular inner piers, latter with cornucopia;

curved quadrants, cast-iron gates and railings.
