Description
The Fishermen's Bothy, located on Forsyth Place in Cromarty, is likely an early 19th-century building. It has a long rectangular shape and features a gabled single-storey design. The north end serves as a bothy with a single axial stack, while the rest of the building is utilized as a store or workshed for fishermen.
Constructed from rubble with squared dressings, the bothy includes a brick stack that is probably original and is topped with a slate roof, complete with stone ridging and skews. The building faces west, with the door and window closely spaced at the bothy, while other openings are positioned further apart. The gables and the rear long wall (east side) are mostly blank, with a possible blocked opening noted in the latter.
In front of the building, there is a creosoted timber fence.
