Description

Earlier 19th century; interior probably partially refitted. Long single storey 3-bay crow-stepped gabled bothy. Rubble.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: door at centre with small window to left; larger windows to outer bays.

N AND S ELEVATION: blank gable with apex stacks. That to N partly built into headland.

E ELEVATION: 2 windows to S.

Timber glazing; bar and shutters to store. Coped stone stacks; slated roof with cast-iron rooflight.

INTERIOR: 2 main compartments divided by stone cross wall, both with flagged floors. Larger S apartment equipment store with hearth across SE corner. Remaining domestic apartment contains 2 pairs of box bunk beds lining E wall, and foreman?s office and bunk bed in screened SW quarter.
