Fish-Curing Station, Outvoe

The Fish-Curing Station at Outvoe is an early 19th century structure consisting of two rectangular, gabled buildings facing the shore. The main building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-bay design, with a single-storey store to the east. The walls are made of harl-pointed rubble, featuring dressed sandstone rubble for decoration.

The main building has a central entrance door in the middle bay, with regular windows in the flanking bays. There is also a door located at the rear elevation, as well as a door and window in the right bay of the east gable, and a single window in the right bay of the west gable.

The roof is covered with purple-grey slate and includes three skylights, along with a clay tile ridge. At the apex, there are coped sandstone rubble stacks with circular flues.

The store features a vertically-boarded timber door at the center of the south elevation. It has a corrugated-iron roof topped with a timber louvered ridge ventilator.
