Description
Bremire is a substantial example of a traditional Shetland farm, which includes a house, barn, and byres, with a yard located to the north.
The crofthouse is a single-storey building with a gabled roof, oriented north-south at the center of the complex. It has been extended by one bay to the south, and there is a gabled wing that projects from the center of the east elevation. To the north of the crofthouse, there is a barn that features a kiln at its northern gable. Additionally, there is a two-chamber byre that adjoins to the west of the barn.
Enclosing the yard to the east, there are remains of a drystone wall that extends north from the kiln and curves to the right.
