Description

The Village Murray M Smythe Shop is a house and shop dating from around 1870 in Dunbeath. It is a two-storey, three-bay building with a two-storey, three-bay wing to the rear. The construction is of rubble, with tooled dressings and contrasting painted margins to the front facade. The central front door has been enlarged, with wider windows on either side. Three gabletted dormers break the roofline. The windows are largely 4-pane sashes, and there are chimney stacks at the ends of the building, with a slate roof.
