Description

The Village in Dunbeath contains a pair of houses dating to around 1870. Each house is two storeys high and has three bays, with a central front door. The houses are built of rubble, with tooled rubble dressings. The wallhead is punctuated by three gabletted dormers. They feature four-pane glazing, end chimneys, and slate roofs. The west dwelling was the childhood home of the writer Neil Gunn. The statutory address is Dunbeath, The Village (Macewen and Farquhar).
