Description
Tan y Graig is a building with a roughly L-shaped plan, constructed in two storeys. It features a slightly projecting full-height gabled range on the left and a main range to the right. The exterior is made of irregularly coursed rubblestone, with roughcast on the left return of the gabled range, and it has a slate roof with deep verges and carved purlin ends.
The gabled range includes a 2-light window on the first floor and a 3-light window on the ground floor, both with cambered heads and slate cills. The main range has a similar 2-light window on the ground floor and a 2-light window in a gabled dormer that breaks the eaves directly above. There is also a raking dormer to the left with a 2-light window that breaks the eaves. All windows feature timber mullions and either 2 or 3 horizontal glazing bars in each light.
The main range has a boarded door with a glazed panel, which is sheltered by a bracketed lean-to hood at the angle with the gabled range. There is a paired and rebated integral end stack to the right and a prominent roughcast integral stack on the left return of the gabled range. The interior was not inspected at the time of the survey.
