Description

Pont Rhyd-y-croesau is a bridge made of local stone rubble. It features a wide single arch that spans approximately 10 meters and rises to a crown 3.3 meters above the river. The arch is constructed with rubble voussoirs and includes a regulating course, with flush spandrels that rise to low parapets defining the 3.25-meter wide road. The northeast end of the bridge terminates in a heavily raking buttress, while the southeast end has a small flood arch. The parapets, which are 43 centimeters thick, extend for about 21 meters along a causeway.
